Infant Massage
An infant massage is a great way to bond with your new baby while also helping him
or her grow to live a healthier, happier life.
During an infant massage session, our therapists will teach you how to massage your
newborn, so you can continue the treatments at home after your visit. Most agree
that massaging your baby is a great way to strengthen the bond between mother and
child.
While your infant is gently massaged, their body will release oxytoxins and endorphins.
Their natural stress level will also be greatly reduced – which can help guard
against childhood diseases.
Infant massage is commonly used to prevent or minimize discomfort during:
- Teething
- Colic
- Sinus congestion
- Chest congestion
Some also believe that regular infant massage can help your baby with his or her
cognitive and neurological development. You may also find that your infant will
sleep for longer periods of time after a massage – and may, in fact, begin
to sleep through the night at an earlier age.
Infant massage is also believed to help strengthen your baby's natural immune system.
